Summer Rooftop & Garden Wedding BBQ Catering

TL;DR

For a summer rooftop or garden wedding in Tel Aviv, on-site BBQ catering puts a live open fire at the center of the celebration: premium cuts grilled in front of your guests instead of trays from a hidden kitchen. It works on rooftops, gardens and private venues across Gush Dan, can be kosher on request, and is ₪260 per guest all-inclusive with a ₪6,000 event minimum.

Why does open-fire catering suit a summer wedding?

A summer evening on a rooftop or in a garden is already half the atmosphere — warm air, low light, people outside with a drink. An open grill leans straight into that. Instead of food appearing from somewhere out of sight, the fire is right there in the space: the glow, the smoke, the sound of cuts hitting the grate. It reads as part of the celebration rather than a service running in the background.

It also fits the way a summer wedding actually flows. Guests aren't locked into a seated three-course rhythm; they drift between the bar, the view and the fire, and food comes out in waves the whole evening. For an outdoor wedding where the setting is the point, a live grill keeps everyone in the open air instead of waiting on plated courses.

How does a live grill work on a rooftop or in a garden?

We bring everything self-contained: portable charcoal grills, prep and plating stations, carving boards, serving ware and dishes, so the venue doesn't need a kitchen. The crew arrives about 90 minutes ahead to set up, positions the grill where the smoke and heat work for your space, and cooks and serves live through the evening before handling the full cleanup.

Rooftops, gardens, private homes and event terraces all work. The main thing we plan around outdoors is wind and where the grill sits relative to seating and the dance floor; a quick look at the venue (or a few photos) is usually enough to lock the layout. We cover Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Herzliya and the wider Gush Dan area.

Can a wedding BBQ be kosher?

Yes — kosher is available on request, and it's worth raising at the very start so we plan the sourcing and setup around it. We buy premium cuts from certified kosher butchers — shops like Bat HaKatzav in Ramat Aviv and Maadanei HaKatzav — and can match the level of certification your families keep, from Rabbanut up to stricter Badatz / Mehadrin standards.

Where your wedding calls for it, a mashgiach can be arranged to oversee the food on-site. We'll be straight about what is and isn't possible for your date and venue rather than promising a blanket label — tell us the standard you need and we build the menu and sourcing to it.

What does the menu look like?

The centerpiece is premium cuts grilled to order — you can build the menu around standard and elevated cuts, or load premium ones like entrecôte, picanha and tomahawk for a more lavish spread. Around that come skewers, sausages, fresh-grilled breads, house salads, roasted vegetables and sauces, so there's a full table rather than meat alone.

Because it's cooked live, the food lands hot and in waves rather than all at once at the start of the night — which suits the long, social arc of a summer wedding far better than a single plated service.

What does it cost?

On-site BBQ catering is ₪260 per guest, all-inclusive — cuts, sides, drinks, setup, live service and cleanup — with a ₪6,000 event minimum. The rate is flat; the larger the guest list, the more that minimum simply spreads out until you're paying the clean ₪260 per head. Loading several premium cuts adds a little per guest.

The cleanest way to see your own number is the event builder on our homepage — set your guest count and cuts and the price updates live, no form and no waiting. (Planning an intimate dinner for two instead? A private fire chef is a separate service, from ₪1,900.)

How far ahead should you book a summer date?

Spring through mid-summer (roughly April to July) is peak event season in Israel and the best Friday and weekend dates go early — a few weeks' notice is the minimum, and more if your date is fixed. Build your event in the calculator, send it on WhatsApp, and we reply with a fixed quote, usually within the hour. A 50% deposit confirms the date and the balance is due the morning of the wedding.

Frequently asked

Can the wedding BBQ be kosher?

Yes, on request. We source from certified kosher butchers and can match the level your families keep (Rabbanut up to Badatz / Mehadrin), and a mashgiach can be arranged on-site where required. Raise it when you book so we plan the sourcing and setup around it.

Does the rooftop or garden need a kitchen?

No. We bring self-contained portable grills, prep and plating stations, serving ware and dishes, so the venue doesn't need any kitchen — just space for the grill to sit safely.

What is the minimum, and what does it cost?

₪260 per guest, all-inclusive, with a ₪6,000 event minimum — so the smallest event starts at ₪6,000 (around 23 guests). For an intimate dinner for two, a private fire chef is a separate service from ₪1,900.

What if it's windy on the rooftop?

We position the grill around wind and seating when we set up, and a quick look at the venue or a few photos is usually enough to lock the layout. Outdoor live-fire is what we do — the setup adapts to the space.

How early should we book a summer date?

April to July is peak season and the best weekend dates go early, so a few weeks ahead is the minimum and more is better. A 50% deposit holds your date.
